Most project difficulty is in the delivery, not the decision: coordinating people who do not report to one another, holding scope steady as circumstances change, and keeping an accurate picture of cost and progress while the business carries on around it.

  • Risk identification and mitigation: maintained risk registers, scenario planning and contingency management in place of reactive escalation
